CAMP SURVIVAL PACKS SERVICE PROJECT
We are the SCOPE Junior Leaders, a group of High School ‘camp people’ passionate about sharing the magic of summer camp with children whose families could not otherwise afford the camp experience.
The goals of our Camp Survival Packs Service Project are:
- Fill as many packs with the necessary items children from financially disadvantaged families need in order to have an amazing summer at camp
- Raise money to give the gift of summer camp to as many children as possible
Here’s where you come in…
Some SCOPE campers come from homeless shelters or from homes that do not have access to the simple every day materials we take for granted. We would like to make the experiences these children have at camp even more positive by providing them with items to help keep them happy, healthy, and safe.
We are collecting donations of these new items in our schools, homes, and communities through March 18, 2017 when we will come together to stuff the packs for SCOPE Campers who will attend one of SCOPE's partner camps, Camp Homeward Bound. Camp Homeward Bound is the nation’s first summer sleep-away camp designed specifically for homeless children (ages 7-15).

Support the project
For our project to truly make an impact, we want to provide more than just items for SCOPE Campers; we want to give them the gift of the summer camp experience! Your donations will give these deserving children the life changing opportunity of summer camp AND the inspiration to stay in school, grow as individuals, and expand their boundaries year-round.
